Kim Jepps started in the industry as a finishing carpenter, moving into estimating and then ownership. In 1999, he launched Xemex Contracting Inc. As team leader, Kim provides direction and guidance to all departments and employees. Placing an emphasis on client relations, he takes a hands-on approach, helping clients reach their vision, while ensuring quality control. With 40 years in the construction field, Kim places an emphasis on safety, ensuring staff and sub-trades work effectively, successfully bringing each project to completion. At Xemex, we get it!
FRANK PAPINEAU - Construction manager
Throughout his career working 10 years’ in heavy civil construction and 20 years’ in commercial construction, Frank Papineau advanced from the role of Foreman to Project Manager, developing the skills and knowledge to move projects forward on time and within budget. Frank has worked on projects valued from $10,000 to $1.8 billion including the Princess Auto Tenant Improvement (9000 sq.), The Bow Tower Matthews Development and The City of Red Deer Civic Yards which was a $100 million relocation of all City of Red Deer Departments (9 buildings on 58 acres). Frank’s ability to manage multiple projects of any size simultaneously combined with his honest and respectful communication with owners and stakeholders is an asset to the Xemex team. In 10 years, he has a Safety record of No Lost Time Accidents
TODD ZIMMERMAN - SITE SUPERVISOR
Starting his career with Xemex in 2008, Todd Zimmerman has grown with the company, developing his management skills and quickly progressing to the role of Senior Site Supervisor. He mobilizes sites and workers, ensuring projects run safely and efficiently. Todd is the onsite contact for clients, business owners and the public. As a previous owner/operator, Todd has substantial experience in the trades. Todd has managed many successful projects including, Hextall Place and 17th Avenue Court Exterior Revitalization's and various interior renovation projects throughout the Aquitaine and Bantrel Towers.
